All projects are complete. The Collinsville EMS Station was completed in August 2005. The City Hall project was completed in January 2006.
Background:
The $2.3M from Vision 2025 rebuilt the historic 1913 City Hall/Fire Station destroyed by fire in December 2001. The original building now houses city functions such as administration, revenue collections, utility billing and personnel. There is a large multi-purpose room for city commission meetings, city boards and authorities, city court and community functions. The fire and emergency medical services are re-located to a new structure adjacent to the City Hall building creating a campus for city operations in downtown Collinsville. Police operations that were conducted out of the destroyed building were relocated in 2003 a few blocks away and were not a part of the Vision 2025 funding.
